RECUERDOS DE TANGO is a live dance and music event,
enriched with
elements from the silent movie. The story is about a man who arrives
at the busy city of Buenos Aires, and ends up in the tango world.
Under the direction of Wim De Wulf, the show became
a surprising
performance, which completely differs from the day-to-day Argentinean
tango show, but respects the tradition of dance and music.
The tango couple Gerdy De Decker and Lieve Vansteelant,
well known
for their refined dance style, brings choreography's as well as
improvisations, tango espectaculo as well as tango de salon, 1920's tango, milonga,
and a tango-parody. Bandoneon player Alfredo Marcucci,
who witnessed the golden tango years in Buenos Aires, forms, together with singer-guitarist Juan
Masondo, pianist Gerlinde Goossens, violinist Muriel
Weis and bassist Michel Van der Meiren, an Orquesta
Tipica. |
